Dutchie Darling, Love Bob

All of their married life, Jean and Bob kept each other fully informed about what was going on. Once the war in Europe was declared over, Bob figures it is ok to share with Jean the timeline of his journey from when he left New York until then. He knew that she would have been following the newspaper accounts of battles and would have been trying to figure out where he was when.
